The two endings I got were not all that great, I suspect there is a good one in the mix, I just did not have the patients to keep playing again and again. Some of the death scenes are interesting, but some are bad as one has a vase falling and striking you from a distance and this occurs even if you are nowhere near a tall building. As for the game, it looks rather good for an early game on the playstation 2 and the game play consists mainly of running around town and talking to folks and getting certain items in your inventory that may save the character's life or perhaps doing something to change things that may save your life. Suffice to say I was only able to get two endings then I was kind of bored with the game. It is fun on the first play through or two, but to get all the endings you must do the same things quite often, with only slight differences to change up the pace, most of the main points of the story are exactly the same every time you play. Finding out ways to survive the present day and trying to uncover the clues as to why Eike is fated this day make up the majority of the game play. He is given the power to time travel by this strange person known as homunculus, he is given this power because the fates have decided that Eike (the protagonist) is strongly fated to die this day. Granted you do wander the small town and talk to people and such, but you must also watch numerous scenes of the protagonist talking to others trying to figure out what time he is in and what he can do to prevent himself from dying in the present. I would say it is more of an interactive movie than a game per se. Six of these conclusions can be attained during the initial playthrough, and the remaining two can be unlocked only after the first six have been completed. This game is a time traveling type game that progresses more like a choose your own adventure book rather than a game. Because of the time-traveling mechanic, many of the game’s objectives can be completed in ways that aren’t linear, branching the narrative and eventually leading to a total of eight distinct conclusions. The player will have multiple options to select from and the opportunity to alter the course of events in a variety of different ways while playing the game. If Eike is unable to accomplish the task at hand within the specified amount of time and avert his own murder, the chapter will need to begin again from the beginning. The use of time travel requires energy units, which can be discovered throughout the town through searching. It is possible to save Eike’s life by retrieving an important object, engaging in a discussion with a certain individual, or carrying out one of the various actions available in the past. Traveling across time to other hours, days, years, and even centuries is the primary means by which this goal might be accomplished. In each chapter, there is a time constraint during which Eike must figure out how to thwart the attempts of the killer to take his life. The game does not have any aspects of action, and there is no health bar for the protagonist either. In North America, the game is known as Shadow of Destiny. While he is there, he will have to meet people who are closely connected to his own existence and alter the very fabric of reality. Eike will need to travel back in time as far as the 16th century in order to change the course of events and prevent the unidentified person from carrying out his murder. From that point on, the miraculous second chance that Eike had been given transforms into a never-ending competition against the clock as he works to break free from the bonds of his fate. This occurs just a little while before Eike was killed. Eike is brought back to life by Homunculus and given a device that allows him to travel through time. Eike is informed by a mysterious being known as Homunculus that he has passed away as a result of being stabbed. Suddenly, a great blow obscures the vision in his eyes, and the next thing he can see is a very strange room filled with bizarre objects. The next thing he can see is a very unusual room filled with bizarre objects, and a voice is speaking to him from nowhere. A young man by the name of Eike Kusch takes a stroll around the peaceful and patriarchal town of Lebensbaum in Germany.
